Angus McFarlin was a language teacher who was hired by Jonathan Beckett Sr. to teach his son Cutler Latin and Greek languages. He was the one who gave Cutler his copy of the My Lyfe Amonge the Pyrates book, sparking his interest in treasure and the supernatural.
