Barnaby's Henchmen were a pirate gang that operated in the Caribbean during Lord Cutler Beckett's War Against Piracy. They were led by "Stupid" Barnaby, an infamous pirate that was especially known in Shipwreck City.

History[]

At some point before Lord Cutler Beckett's War Against Piracy, "Stupid" Barnaby assembled a gang of Henchmen to protect him at all times, they were scattered around Shipwreck City and their headquarters were at the Slums. After stealing Sri Sumbhajee's Piece of Eight during a night when Sumbhajee was drunk in The Cutlass tavern, Barnaby and his henchman fought Captain Jack Sparrow, who was informed by the Tavern Keeper that he was the one who stole Sumbhajee's Piece of Eight. However, Jack managed to defeat most of them as he made his way across Shipwreck City, and eventually reached the Slums. Jack tried to negotiate Barnaby into giving back the Piece of Eight, but Barnaby refused. A fight then ensued between Jack Sparrow and Barnaby's Henchmen, with Jack wiping them all out, killing Barnaby, as well as retrieving and returning Sumbhajee's Piece of Eight prior to the Conclave.

Behind the scenes[]

The name "Barnaby's Henchmen" is taken from one of the objectives in the Shipwreck City level in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the 2007 video game Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
