This ship was a pirate ship owned and captained by Bartholomew "Black Bart" Roberts.

History[]

After the death of Bartholomew "Black Bart" Roberts, the ship ended up along with its captain in Davy Jones' Locker, wrecked and half-buried in sand. Black Bart resided in the wreck of the ship and, for his amusement, started capturing and imprisoning other inhabitants of the Locker in the ship's many prison cells. Gentleman Jocard, the Pirate Lord of the Atlantic Ocean, was Black Bart's most notable prisoner. After his second "death" on the hands of Captain Jack Sparrow, Black Bart simply disappeared from the Locker, by unknown means, but with his ship left behind.

Black Bart would later meet with Jack Sparrow during the latter's search for the Fountain of Youth, where Jack's small vessel bumped into the ship, which had somehow been brought back from the Locker and used by Roberts, Giselle and Scarlett.

Behind the scenes[]

It is quite possible that this ship's appearance in the video game adaptation of the 2007 film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is non-canonical. Reasons being that while Black Bart and Jack Sparrow met in the game, they never met in the films.

It is possible that this ship is the Royal Fortune, a ship used by Roberts in real life.
