Bruce Hendricks is an American film director and film producer. He had a unique position in the entertainment industry, working as both a studio executive and as a producer and director. Bruce Hendricks was one of the executive producers of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.

Career[]

As a filmmaker for over 25 years, Bruce Hendricks was associated with some of the most prestigious, top-grossing films in motion-picture history. He had a unique position in the entertainment industry, working as both a studio executive and as a producer and director.

While serving as President of Physical Production for Walt Disney Studios from 1992-2011, Hendricks oversaw all aspects of live-action feature-film production at the company. In this capacity, he had supervised the making of over 200 motion pictures and filmed in more than 30 countries. Among these films were the blockbusters The Sixth Sense, Armageddon, The Rock and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, to name a few.

Bruce Hendrick's credits as Executive Producer were the Jerry Bruckheimer Productions the WWII epic Pearl Harbor and the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. His directing credits include the IMAX film Ultimate X as well as music videos, television programs and commercials. Hendricks both directed and produced Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert.

Hendricks was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Producers Guild and the Directors Guild of America. He received an Emmy Award for his work on the ABC telefilm The Wave.

Personal life[]

A native of Dallas, Texas, Bruce Hendricks holds a Bachelor of Science degree in film production from The University of Texas. He received the University's Distinguished Alumni award in 2007. Hendricks and his wife live in Los Angeles, California with their daughter, Kyra.
