- "I have heard a rumor about that Spanish princess everyone is looking for."
"Princessa Carolina?"
"Yes. I have heard that she took passage on a ship bound for Ireland. It left two days ago, but it was supposed to stop in New York, Boston, Maine, Canada, and Greenland along the way. If they want to find her, they should start by looking in all those places." - ―Diego de Leon and the Spanish soldier
Canada was a French colony in North America. During the quest for the Shadow Gold, Diego de Leon told Spanish soldiers were looking for the Princess Carolina that she took passage on a ship bound for Ireland, but also stopped in New York, Boston, Maine, Canada, and Greenland along the way.[2] About thirteen years later, Canada was depicted in a map of the world in Lord Cutler Beckett's office in Port Royal.[3]

The 2017 film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales scene in young Henry Turner's room in Elizabeth Swann's lighthouse was filmed in Vancouver, Canada.[4]
