- "Ew, China. I hear they eat with sticks, instead of forks like civilized people."
- ―Marcella
China was a country located on the Pacific Ocean and South China Sea.
History[]
- "What ports of call on your voyage to China, Mister de Ver?"
"Marseilles, mon capitan. Where the best ships, the ships built by Frenchmen, they are docking!" - ―Jack Sparrow and Etienne de Ver
During the Quest for the Shadow Gold, Shanghai was the headquarters of the Pirate Confederation of China, led by Mistress Ching.
Behind the scenes[]
- Though Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End performed quite-well in China when the film was released, Sao Feng quickly became a subject of controversy. While Chow Yun-Fat is well known at his country of birth, a lot of Chow's scenes were cut by Chinese censors for defacing and vilifying the Chinese culture, in spite of the fact that the South China Sea had a long history of piracy.[1]
