Hello! I’m Ursuul, & I am representing FANDOM’s Vanguard team. We’re users who volunteer to help communities adopt new technologies & features, like content portability. We’ve identified the PotC Wiki as a high priority for introducing the Portable Infobox tool, which has a lot of benefits for your community. Namely, it would optimize Infobox display for the tens of thousands of mobile readers here, while not changing anything about the desktop design or functionality; the templates themselves use different code, but you, the editors, would use them exactly the same way that you do now on article pages.
There are other benefits I could lay out on request, but I’ll keep it simple; I’d like to reproduce, as much as possible, the look & feel of your desktop Infoboxes in global CSS, & work to upgrade the Infobox templates themselves so that they can be accessible on any current & future platform. Maintaining the converted Infoboxes if you want to make changes later on should be very simple.
You can see a side-by-side example of my work here, as proof of concept. If the community has any questions or concerns, I would be more than happy to hear & answer them, & I welcome all suggestions on how to alter them more towards the direction you want to go. Unless told otherwise, I’ll continue to build drafts that closely resemble your current style (as opposed to something newer & flashy). If you are not satisfied with the style match, please remember that I can make them look like whatever you desire, & if the template syntax is confusing (although the Infobox Builder makes it a breeze), know also that Vanguard will be happy to provide any assistance needed.
