Hey Huns, I was doing some digging around Wikipedia yesterday and found something interesting regarding the treaty of Madrid between Britain & Spain and when potc 4 could be set:

The Asiento contract, which had been guaranteed to Great Britain in 1713 through the Treaty of Utrecht, was renewed. Spain later raised objections to the Asiento clauses, and the Treaty of Madrid, signed on 5 October 1750, stipulated that Great Britain surrendered her claims under those clauses in return for a sum of £100,000.

As the British are obviously still fiercely competitive with the throughout this period & PotC 4, could they be hostile merely Due to competitiveness or because they were competitive and had yet to sigh the treaty which essentialy kept as alomost friendly allies for a number of years? Though I know it's not canonically confirmed, could it at least added to the additional info section? Rubyxriches (talk) 12:08, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

Interesting observation, but that doesn't change that it's speculation. Truthfully, if we were to post such information, it would at least be put in the "Behind the scenes" section. Whether this is needed information, I cannot say with certainty. -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 03:49, November 23, 2013 (UTC)
Pure speculation. Not needed. --UskokSea Queen, Nemesis 09:01, November 23, 2013 (UTC)
