- "And now, ya bilge rats, do I hear six? Who makes it six?"
"Six it be. Six bottles of rum!"
"I'm not spongin' for rum. It be gold I'm after!" - ―Auctioneer and a drunk pirate
Gold was a precious metal colored metallic yellow. It could be used to fashion jewelry, or turned into forms of currency. Captain Jack Sparrow loved gold. On Isla de Muerta he draped himself with treasure collected by Hector Barbossa's cursed crew. With pearls around his neck and rings on his fingers, a finishing touch is a jewel-encrusted gold crown.[1]
