This woman was the mother of the pirate Hector Barbossa and the grandmother of the astronomer Carina Smyth.

Not much is known about this woman's early life, though it's known she was born in Ireland. At some point of her life, she and an English male had a son named Hector Barbossa. Her son grew up to become one of the most fearsome pirates of the Seven Seas.[1] Her further fate is unknown.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • Though Hector Barbossa's mother has yet to be mentioned or appear in any official POTC product, Geoffrey Rush confirmed that he created her as part of Barbossa's backstory about his lineage.[1]
