History[]
- "The Brethren Court, not I. The First Brethren Court, whose decision I would have opposed. They bound you to human form so the rule of the seas would belong to man and not..."
"To me."
"But one such as you should never be anything less than what you are." - ―Sao Feng to Elizabeth Swann, whom he believed to be the goddess Calypso
While humans have existed on Earth for since the dawn of humanity, it is widely believed that humans were either created by a creator (God) or just evolved on the planet. However, neither side has any conclusive evidence to suggest either side is wrong or right. Humanity has a very rich history full of passion, politics, philosophers, mathematicians, logicians, mystics, seers, prophets, oracles, wars and violence. Humanity's evolution on Earth also gave birth to various creeds and faiths, most likely due to witnessing supernatural events. Examples of this include the birth of Christianity due to the actions, altruism and beliefs of Jesus Christ.
Behind the scenes[]
- "I think Gibbs is the one character who's continuously loyal to Jack Sparrow. Gibbs is the one shining beacon of hope for humanity."
- ―Terry Rossio
Writer Terry Rossio has said he actually considers Joshamee Gibbs to be a virtuous character, mostly because he's one character who's continuously loyal to Jack Sparrow. Rossio goes as far as to say Gibbs is the one shining beacon of hope for humanity.[1]
