"There, you have ships—and I can use one of them to go after Jack."
―Unknown Sailor to Thaddeus[src]

Jack Sparrow's bilander was a pirate ship during the Age of Piracy. It was one of several ships captained by Jack Sparrow after the mutiny aboard the Black Pearl.

History[]

It is unknown when or where this ship was built. What is known is that it served as Jack Sparrow's ship following the mutiny that cost him his own ship, the Black Pearl.

One day Jack sailed to an island to steal a ship from the local shipyard. However, he found out the island was recently raided by pirates. A frigate approached shortly after, and it's captain asked Jack if he had anything to do with the attack. Jack replied negatively, but also revealed that the scavengers were returning. The frigate and the bilander sailed toward the attackers, but as they approached, Jack sailed away. Despite the odds, the frigate destroyed both enemy corvettes.

Another enemy fleet, consisting of a man of war, a xebec, and a corvette, approached the island, and this time Jack's bilander assisted in destroying the enemy. After the battle both ships docked in a nearby port, where Jack stole the frigate and sailed away, leaving the bilander behind. The frigate's captain would continue to use the bilander to try to find Jack wanting revenge. The further fate of the ship is unknown.

Behind the scenes[]

Jack Sparrow's bilander appeared, albeit unidentified, in Pirates of the Caribbean: Isles of War, a 2013 online game which takes place before the events of the 2003 film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
