When Rumrunners transported Jack Sparrow from Rumrunner's Isle to Port Royal, Jack stole several sacks of gold. With that gold, he bought a sloop and continued with piracy. Soon after buying the ship, he attacked and destroyed several merchant ships near Port Royal.
