Joe Books was a Canadian comic book publisher based in Toronto, Ontario. It partnered with The Walt Disney Company to produce multiple series of comic books based on Disney's animated feature films and television shows, including Pirates of the Caribbean.
On March 1, 2019, Joe Books Ltd. filed for section 49(1) bankruptcy with FTI Consulting Canada and is no longer active. Out of eight planned comics, only four were published before the company filed for bankruptcy, causing the remaining comics to be canceled.[1]
