"Ye bloomin' cowards and fools. Have ye not yet noticed ye've wandered onto the deck of the King George's Amnesty? This be my ship...and I'm not looking to add any more crew."
―Black Smoke James to Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann[src]

The King George's Amnesty was a pirate ship that was captained by the deadly Black Smoke James. Not much is known about the King George's Amnesty other than that the ship was a part of Captain Jack Sparrow's version of events surrounding the legend of how Sparrow sacked Nassau Port without firing a shot, where Jack claimed to have allied himself with Elizabeth Swann. As the town came under siege by Black Smoke James, who desired to appoint himself magistrate of Nassau, James himself fought Jack and Elizabeth aboard the King George's Amnesty. Its further fate is unknown.

Behind the scenes[]

In the 2006 video game Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow, the King George's Amnesty only appears in Jack Sparrow's version of the story about the sack of Nassau, in which Elizabeth Swann's presence is at least one detail of the story that is false. With that in mind, it is possible that the ship and Black Smoke James never actually participated in the sack of Nassau or even really existed.

While unconfirmed, it is likely that the ship was named after King George I of Great Britain, or his son, George II.
