La Vipère was the flagship of Christophe-Julien de Rapièr, the French pirate captain who operated in the Caribbean induring the 1710s. Her name translates to "snake" in French. A brigantine, she was very fast and maneuverable. The ship was armed with deadly chase guns, useful for hunting down enemies.

Behind the scenes

The first and only appearance of the La Vipère is in the 2011 novel The Price of Freedom by A. C. Crispin.
