Marie Seymour was the serving girl in the Drunken Lady tavern in Shipwreck City on Shipwreck Island during the early 1710s.[1] The owner of the tavern was her husband, the Englishman Steve Seymour. After Marie became pregnant, Steve sold the tavern and moved with Marie to the town of Raleigh in North Carolina, because they didn't want to raise their child among pirates. In North Carolina, she gave birth to their first son and a year later, a baby girl. Not long after, she became pregnant with a third child.
