  • Hey there! I wanted to check in as the Unified Community Platform (UCP) is being rolled out across more Fandom wikis. Have you heard of the UCP and do you know what changes it will bring to this wiki when it arrives? I'm happy to answer any questions you have on that so please feel free to ask. Hopefully you are keeping safe! --Spongebob456 talk@fandom

  • I have asked for a lego minecraft set for my bday, and the set has a pirate figure with dark hair, red pants, and a blue vest. Can you tell me if any characters of extras share this description? Thanks.

  • So I'm mainly from the Star Wars wiki, but have grown a love for PotC over the past months, have you thought about having a discussions area? I'd love to talk with others over here about PotC. Even if the answer ends up being no, I'll still hang around here.

Welcome to the Pirates of the Caribbean Wiki. We have the forums where our users can discuss everything Pirates-related. Cheers.

  • Hi,  Black Caesar,

today I found an wiki, in which the interlanguage-links are combined with the national flags. I was told, this is possible with additional CSS . For my German wikis with interwiki-links I made it. Do you want to decorate this wiki either?

If you allow, I would do it here.

    Greetings Gundolf

  • Hey! Looks like we have details on another Pirates movie separate from the reboot we know of. The cast and writing team already has me excited! I know a lot can change of course but looks like Pirates is making a return for the foreseeable future! --Spongebob456 talk@fandom

  • Hey there! How's it going? Just checking in to see if I can help with anything! A certain announcement involving Karen Gillan is exciting! --Spongebob456 talk@fandom 18:59, May 6, 2020 (UTC)

    • @Topwalker I'd also like to see all those characters again. They did appear in Terry Rossio's original script for Pirates 5 but that version of the script was rejected, unfortunately.

@Spongebob456 Um, we do have a forum. That's where the community discussed my adoption of this Wiki as you recommended, remember? Anyway, I just opened a topic where we can discuss Pirates 6. Thanks for reminding me. Cheers.

    • Sorry, I more meant this wiki does not have up-to-date Special:Forums or Discussions which may be more accessible for users to discuss the franchise. Great you started a discussion on Pirates 6, interested to see opinions on that. :) --Spongebob456 talk@fandom 13:38, May 10, 2020 (UTC)

  • Hello, I just wanted to ask something about Jack Sparrow's hanger.

On your side (Jack Sparrow's hanger) it says that Jack lost it in the Battle of Whitecap Bay, but then got it back from Angelica. I couldn't see Angelica returning the sword to him in the movie.

Do you actually see that in the movie or does Jack use another hanger afterwards?

    • If I may be so bold as to interject my professional opinion, on this particular topic...

@Dierangosuq, you are correct that in the movie we do not see Jack getting his sword back. He lost it in the battle of Whitecap Bay, and magically had it again when the quest resumed.

However, there is indeed evidence on how he got his sword back.

      1. The fact Angelica gave him back his sword was in the On Stranger Tides screenplay which can be found on writers Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio's website Wordplay. However, I'm not sure how far into development the script was, but I believe it was closely accurate to what is seen onscreen, except for small differences like Johnny Depp's improv on set.
      2. Probably the more concrete evidence that he retrieved his sword at Whitecap Bay was this shot which was found in a featurette of the film. You dont see anything else, but it's clear Jack got the sword at the se moment Syrena was captured by Blackbeard's crew.

      Hope this helps, mateys!

  • Excuse me, I have been trying to fix the Black Pearl page but everytime I do it says my edits will be marked with inappropriate language. I don't know who vandalized the page but I want to fix it, so can you review the previous work as I am at a lost.

    • The same thing happened to me when I attempted to undo some of TheOriginalBarbossa's vandalisms.

    • I'm looking through the Abuse filter log and it appears both of you have triggered something called "filter 4", which seems to be a code word for "Inappropriate Language", and the system automatically didn't allow you to save your edits. I'll see if something can be done about that.
