Synopsis[]
Captain Jack Sparrow has found a chest that he can't open. He has called Will Turner to help. Hours later, Will has given up trying to break the lock using techniques he learned as a blacksmith and has begun hitting it with a hammer.
Jack decides they need to try something different; something flashy and daring. However, Jack needs Will's help. Will agrees, on the condition that he gets fifty percent of whatever they find.
So they burn it, slam it, hammer it, and try to blow it up. None of it leaves a scratch. Just as Jack was going to throw it off the cliff, Will gets an idea. The lock was nothing but a decoy. To open the chest, all one must do is turn the decorative face.
They open the chest to discover that it's empty. Just then, Jack's former crew catches up. Will and Jack find a use for the chest: shielding them from cannon fire.
