This man was a pirate captain, active in the Caribbean during the early 18th century.
Biography
Nothing is known about this man's early life. It is known however, that he became a pirate. He was capable enough to become a captain. He assembled a crew and sailed around the Caribbean in search of the treasure that was hidden in Dead Man's Cove. When they came near Isla Tesoro, their ship was wrecked on the rocks.
Though some of the pirates died in the storm, (like the helmsman), the rest of them managed to find the cave where the treasure was hidden. But pirates were too greedy to share the treasure, so they all killed each other in a duel. The Captain's skeleton remained standing forever, leaning on the wall of the cave. Soon, a seagull made a nest in the Captain's hat.[3]
