The Pterodactyl is a type of flying lizard. It was common during the 
Mesozoic on Wikipedia era. Jack Sparrow and Fitzwilliam P. Dalton III encounter them during their adventures with the Timekeeper. Fitzwilliam mentioned that they were thought to be a myth though some people claimed to have found their bones. Though mostly hostile, Jack and Fitzwilliam did briefly befriend one pterodactyl Jack named Drag and the flocks assisted them in escaping from a pair of sabertooth tigers.
