The Ranger was a three-masted pirate ship owned by Gentleman Jocard, who originally stole it from a dock in New Orleans.

History

"All right, Jack Sparrow. The Ranger will accompany you to Europe."

During the quest for the Shadow Gold, the Ranger participated in the attack of Jack Sparrow's crew and Jocard's pirates on King Samuel's fortress. More than a decade later, during the War Against Piracy, the Ranger was part of the Brethren Court's armada during the battle of Calypso's maelstrom and served as Jocard's flagship.

Behind the scenes

• The Ranger first appeared in the 2007 film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. It was first identified by name in the Pirates of the Caribbean PocketModel game.
• It is possible that this ship is named after the Ranger of the notorious pirate Bartholomew Roberts (whose pirate flag Jocard flies).
