- "Tomorrow Venganza and the Wicked Wench set sail for Savannah, where his ship can receive proper repairs. They have a large seaport there, and an EITC office. I plan to escort the Wench for a day or two, until we are sure all the temporary repairs are holding."
- ―Esmeralda to Ayisha about Jack Sparrow
Savannah was a city in Georgia located in the Southeastern region of North America. Established at some point by the 1700s, with Georgia named after King George II, Savannah was a strategic port city which served as one of many colonies governed by England, Great Britain and the British Empire. The seaport was most notably used by Captain Jack Sparrow, an honest merchant seaman of the East India Trading Company aboard the Wicked Wench.
History[]
- "So after the Wicked Wench was repaired, in Savannah, I headed back east. The wind worked out better that way, coming down from the north, sir."
- ―Jack Sparrow to Cutler Beckett
At some point prior to Jack Sparrow's early adulthood, the East India Trading Company established a presence in Savannah, setting an office, building, and a shipyard for their merchant vessels and ships. Following the battle with the rogue pirates, Jack Sparrow had the EITC merchant ship Wicked Wench set sail for Savannah, where the EITC office sent an inspector to check over the ship and cargo. Some of the barrels of sugar were ruined and had to be removed, and the men in the EITC shipyard repaired all the damages on the ship's hull. Ten days later, the Wench sailed away, freshly restocked with food, water, black powder, and ammunition.
