Scotland is a country in northwest Europe and one of the 2 constituent countries of the Great Britain. It occupies the northern third of the island of Great Britain and shares a land border to the south with England. Glasgow is the nation's largest city. In 1707, Scotland and England were united into Great Britain.

Both Bootstrap Bill Turner and his son, William Turner, were born in Glasgow, Scotland. Davy Jones was also believed to have hailed from Scotland, and retained his native accent up to his death.

• While Scotland has yet to appear in the Pirates of the Caribbean universe, it was confirmed that both Bootstrap Bill Turner and Will Turner were born in Scotland on the one of the previous versions of the official POTC site.
