Shepherd was a Lieutenant in the British Royal Navy. He was stationed onboard the flagship of Admiral Lawrence Norrington around the time od the quest for the Sword of Cortés. He participated in Norrington's search for the infamous pirate captain Edward Teague, Keeper of the Code.
