there was a reason it was written the way it was. I put 3 hours of my life into that. You could have at least kept my title. Unsigned comment by Lenahan (talk • contribs).

What was the reason? Because it didn't fit the manual of style, so it needed to be rewritten. Also, the title was too long and unwieldly - \\Captain Kwenn// Ahoy! 08:00, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Battle Templet[]

it needs one of the things with Cammanders, Deaths and that stuff-- Jack the monkey yo ho ho 03:30, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

The Commander-in-chief of the pirates was Elizabeth Swann, Sparrow and Barbossa were her subordinates, like Jones was Beckett's. There were much more deaths, even among the creditet ones. (Don't forget the countless extras!) And should we include all the EITC and pirate ships which were present but didn't actually participate in the battle? El Chupacabra 12:29, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Main quote[]

Maybe it's just me, I dunno...but the current main quote doesn't seem to fit the spirit of the battle. So I think a better quote is in order. If you all agree, I say we change it to this one:

"Then what shall we die for? You will listen to me. Listen! The Brethren will still be looking here to us, to the Black Pearl, to lead. And what will they see? Frightened bilge rats aboard a derelict ship? No. No, they will see free men, and freedom! And what the enemy will see is the flash of our cannons. They will hear the ring of our swords, and they will know what we can do. By the sweat of our brows, and the strength of our backs...and the courage of our hearts. Gentlemen...Hoist the colors."

Correct name[]

I noticed on several pages, this battle was named the Battle around Calypso's malestrom. On its own page, it is called the Battle of not the Battle around. What is the correct name? Unsigned comment by Lieutenant Groves (talk • contribs).

The page's name in which is always linked is "Battle of..." I think it was written as "Battle around..." as it seems a bit too kindergarden-ish to name the battle just one way without being creative in writing about said events. Either way, the links would take the user to the same page.
