Now that we know from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Price of Freedom that Esmeralda was a Pirate Lord of the Caribbean before Jack, and Don Rafael was a Pirate Lord of the Caribbean before Esmeralda, I think it's obvious that they were the previous owners of Jakc's Piece of eight.--Uskok 14:40, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

A Few Comments[]

I have a few issues with this article. It assumes that the lady Jack got the beads from also had the Piece of Eight, though there is no stated connection. It says the article is conjectural, even though the article for the Pirate Lords' Pieces of Eight does not use the title as conjectural. The title seems fine to me. Finally, this article spends too much time talking about what Jack replaced it with. That seems more appropriate for a separate article actually about the trinkets he's had attached to his bandanna. I guess we'll know the connection once The Price of Freedom is released, since the Pirate Lords who Jack succeeded appears there(one of them is a woman). If not, it's probably just some canonical problems, because in the DVD of AWE, it said Jack got the beads from a lady. The article is conjectural, like Ragetti's wooden eye, Jack Sparrow's sword and many others—because we don't know if that's its actual name or not(only that it belonged to Jack Sparrow). And we've already decided that we should keep what Jack replaced the trinket within this article. CJSFan SigBlack Pearl,HMS Interceptor,Queen Anne's Revenge 00:55, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Siam[]

I am sure the coin at the piece of eight is Burmese coin, you can search on old burmese coin(Myanmar coins) page. Unsigned comment by Ye Myat Htut‎ (talk • contribs).

First, please remember to sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~}). And secondly, it was confirmed that the coin was from Siam in Jack Sparrow's "Inside the Brethren Court" featurette, found in the At World's End DVD/Bluray. We stick to canon, not speculation, and we stick to past tense in the main article(i.e. stick to talking about pre-1750s, which is On Stranger Tides' time placement). -- CJSFanOn Stranger Tides, Arkham City 23:49, September 13, 2013 (UTC)
