Ok, I'm not entirely sure if we need this, but I thought I should say this anyway(since it was in the Publisher's summary in my version of the novel).

"Join us, wholly adopt our goals as your own, or be killed right where you stand."
―Philip Davies[src]

Should we put this quote in the section: Publisher's summary? I personally think so, since we have quotes from other non-canonical areas(The Buccaneer's Heart! comic, Kingdom Hearts II, etc) in some articles(mostly from the POTC characters who said the quotes). But as for this quote, since as far as we know, no POTC character says it, I think we should put it in here...mostly because it's such a great quote from the novel(especially with it being used about 2 times throughout the novel). Not quite rightEdit

In the novel, Bonnet is happy to die but this is drastically not the case for the real-life pirate. There has been accounts of him writing letters for pardon. He even offered to have his legs and arms cut off so he would never pirate again. It appears the author, Tim Powers, took certain liberties here.

I just thought this was intresting to know and not put in the text. The Sailor 22:22, February 6, 2012 (UTC)
