The Accidental Pirate! is a comic short story published in the Disney Adventures Super Comic Special, set in the Pirates of the Caribbean world and published under the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl title.
Synopsis[]
While chasing Captain Hector Barbossa during the events of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Captain Jack Sparrow's crew decide to take a merchant vessel they happen upon. Will Turner isn't happy about it, but feels a bit better when Jack explains his plan.
Disguised as members of the British Royal Navy, they board the Earl King. They are quickly introduced to Captain McGlue. He is immediately suspicious because Will is so young and Jack so scruffy-looking. Will explains Jack by saying he was undercover among the commoners. McGlue mentions that he thought James Norrington was commanding the HMS Interceptor. Jack messes up by refering to Norrington as captain rather than commodore.
A fight breaks out. Will goes one on one with McGlue. Just when McGlue has Will cornered, Jack manages to snare McGlue in the rigging. With McGlue taken care of, Jack's crew takes everything of value of the ship and throws McGlue overboard. With their adventure finished, they set off after Barbossa once more.
