- "If you're all so tried of looking, we'll have to do things the hard way. And I hate doing things the hard way. It's the opposite of good pirating, really."

Meanwhile, Jack happens to get a cell next to a former member of his crew, Scurvy Joe. Shortly after this meeting, Elizabeth offers the guards a trick to lure them into a trap. They quickly break Jack out of jail. In his enthusiasm, Jack knocks over a lantern, which hits some barrels of powder and breaks Scurvy Joe out of jail. Jack lures Scurvy Joe to a spot where his crew is waiting to capture Scurvy Joe.
Two days later, there are back at the island. Joshamee Gibbs tells Jack that they haven't been able to find the treasure map. Dawn comes and Scurvy Joe appears human once more. Tattooed to his back is the treasure map. It turns out that Jack was only a pace away from the treasure.
