- "Captain Teague commands Troubadour; it’s his ship I serve on."
- ―Jack Sparrow to Hector Barbossa
The Troubadour was a pirate ship captained by Edward Teague, Pirate Lord of Madagascar and Keeper of the Code. It was used by Teague on many voyages as well as being part of the armada of the Brethren Court.
History
- "For years I've worried about Teague getting word that I was alive, and hunting me down so he could hang me from Troubadour's yardarm."
- ―Jack Sparrow to Esmeralda
At some point after Jack Sparrow's teenage adventures, Teague made the Troubadour his ship. With the Troubadour, Teague sailed across the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean, capturing several ships of the East India Trading Company. Teague had Jack join his crew on many voyages. But since Teague was mainly a "sit at home" type pirate, the Troubadour was mainly docked at Shipwreck Cove.
During the War Against Piracy, she was part of the many ships in the armada of the Brethren Court. The crew of the Troubador, as well as the crews of the other ships, witnessed the battle of Calypso's maelstrom. After the battle, Teague and his crew celebrated the pirates' victory following the deaths of Davy Jones and Lord Cutler Beckett.
Behind the scenes
- Some fans think that Teague's ship from At World's End may have been the Misty Lady, because of its appearance with Teague in Jack Sparrow: Sins of the Father. However, because of the Troubadour having appeared in The Price of Freedom, it is more likely that the Troubadour appeared in At World's End.
Appearances
- The Price of Freedom (First identified as Troubadour)
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (First appearance)
