So my friend just recently had a baby, and he agreed to let me show the baby Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl for the first time. It may have taken a few weeks and a few more lies to convince him, but yesterday I introduced his son to the series. So, what did he think of it?
He loved it, or at least the battle scenes. He was (literally and figuratively) asleep during the other scenes. However, he did get quite scared during the scene where the Cursed crew are first seen as Skeletons. He hasn't spoken yet, but I'm hoping his first words will be something like "Jack Sparrow" or "savvy". Unfortunately, my friend won't let me show his baby Dead Man's Chest or At World's End until he's at least five because they have "gruesome" scenes, according to him (Turkish Prison, Ian Mercer's death).
How old do you think children should be when they first see Pirates? Tell me in the comments!
