Walt Disney Pictures was established in 1983, prior to which Disney films since the death of Walt Disney were released under the name of the parent company, then named Walt Disney Productions. Walt Disney Pictures commonly releases films with a G or PG rating, though Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was its first PG-13 release. Its sequels, Dead Man's Chest, At World's End, On Stranger Tides, and Dead Men Tell No Tales were also released by the company as PG-13.
